We are pleased to bring you a new static maintenance electrician role for a world class university in their in-house department of Estates and Facilities. Within this static maintenance electrician role, you will be working Monday  - Friday 8-4 which is a 35 hour week. This role is based in central London. Within this Static Maintenance role you will be responsible for a variety of electrical maintenance tasks. This will include:

  • Undertaking planned preventative (PPMs) and reactive maintenance throughout College buildings
  • Ensuring adherence to operational, regulatory and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Working as a dedicated team and reporting to a team leader
  • Utilising the Universities CAFM system
  • Liaising with sub contractors on site

This is a large campus and you will enjoy the variety of buildings and associated maintenance work in the myriad of buildings within this static role. 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • Level 3 award/certificate in electrical field or equivalent or time serviced apprenticeship (Electrical) and strong, demonstrable competencies in electrical trades
  • Good knowledge of engineering designs, installations, maintenance and repairs
  • Good understanding of health and safety processes and policies, ideally with the IOSH
  • Effective communication skills in order to convey information clearly
  • IT literate (Excel, Teams and Microsoft packages) and ability to work from an iPad to manage through our CAFM system
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to offer guidance on requests
  • Ability to use, repair and maintain tools
